Yesterday, the young people from the “Drive Now” team realized their youth initiative. They organized a skate fest “For the Theater” which was dedicated to skate culture. It was held in front of the Vratsa Drama and Puppet Theater. There was pleasant music and many surprises. In addition to being a kind of continuation of Go Skateboarding Day from 2021, the festival aimed to send the following messages to the youth of the city and the surrounding area:
-to preserve the place in front of the Vratsa Drama and Puppet Theater in a suitable form and to avoid future acts of vandalism on the theater building and on its adjacent space;
– the culture of skateboarding in Vratsa is not related to destruction, but on the contrary – with respect and thought for the places where young people practice their favorite sports and make a lot of effort to preserve and develop them.
During the event, a Pop-Up Park was held, which aimed to generate ideas in relation to how to preserve the space in front of the theater and also how to co-exist behind all the young people who gather there. After that, a skate competition was held. The event was filled with many positive emotions and youthful spirit!
The activity is part of the youth initiatives “Creating together”, which are implemented under the project BGLD – 1.003 – 0004 “Vratsa Youth Center – a factor for the development of the Northwest”, financed through the Financial Mechanism of the EEA 2014-2021.
