We conducted training on Ecotourism and Rafting with young people. Through the methods of non-formal education, we worked on the theme of ecological tourism, as our hall was Lakatnik Cliffs and the cave Dark Hole. We talked to the youth about the problems of local tourism and tried to find solutions. Together we planned future activities to make Vratsa Balkan more attractive to young people! After the educational part, we moved on to the more fun part. We tried a unique tourist attraction – rafting down the Iskar Gorge. The young people from the club “Tourism and Sports Animation” found out first-hand how to animate while rafting, and the young people from the club “Youth Development and Entrepreneurship” learned about how to develop a successful small business and tourism. Thanks to all the young people who took part in this training. Look out for more interesting activities and initiatives from us very soon!
The training is part of the activities of the club “Sports Animation and Tourism” which was created under Project BGLD – 1.003 – 0004 “Youth Center Vratsa – a factor for the development of the North-West” under the Program “Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups”, funded under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
