Rafting adventure with Club “Youth Development and Entrepreneurship” at the Youth Center

On 2 of July, a rafting adventure took place. The participants had a short course about how to behave during sailing. The event is part of the activities of the “Youth Development and Entrepreneurship” club at the Youth Center Vratsa. Students from Yoan Ekzarh Language High School and Profesional School on Mechanization of Agriculture Mezdra took part in it. The young people had the opportunity to learn and see firsthand the potential of this type of tourism in our region. Before their rafting adventure could start, the professionals hold them a special lecture, in which they get to know more about this sport and the potential for developing it in the region. They learn about the demands of tourists, as well as the opportunity for young people to practice in it. During the descent by boat, they were shown the basic rules and skills of rafting. They also had the opportunity to see some of the natural and cultural attractions in the area. Finally, the young people received an invitation for a rafting guide course, which is free.

The youth club is part of Project BGLD – 1.003 – 0004 “Youth Center Vratsa – a factor for the development of the Northwest”, funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
