On 9 and 10 of April, a preventive campaign against gambling addiction “Bet on Yourself” was held in the building of the Youth Center – Vratsa. Young people from the following schools from the city of Vratsa took part in the event – “Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov” Professional Technical High School, “Dimitraki Hadjitoshin” Vocational High School,”Yoan Ekzarh” Profiled Language High School, “Akad.Ivan Tsenov” Profiled Natural and Mathematical High School, “Vasil Levski” Innovative Primary School, Profiled Culinary Trade School. The students had the opportunity to meet Dr. Desislava Bezinska-Sheinkova and Mr. Plamen Yotinski.

Dr. Sheinkova shared with the audience more about her work as a doctor in “Labor Psychology and Professional Psychodiagnostics” and about her activities in the Center for Work with Gambling Addiction “Psychonika” she founded in the city of Sofia, where consultations and individual therapies. In addition, she told the young audience about her published book “Staked Life”.

Mr. Plamen Yotinski talks about his vices, which he has struggled with for 20 years. Today, he has his own Public Addiction Treatment Center “I A.M. WAY”, which provides high-threshold therapy, rehabilitation and residential care for people who abuse or are addicted to psychoactive substances-narcotics, alcohol, medication, as well as to gambling and the Internet . Mr. Nikolay Petrov and Mr. Stanislav Atanasov passed through it, who also spoke to the young people about the hardships related to various addictions and how Mr. Plamen Yotinski helped them break away from their vicious lifestyle.
