Non-formal education
Youth Center – Vratsa organizes and delivers a number of non-formal activities and trainings based on non-formal education methods. The goal is for young people to develop skills, competences, and social engagement through interactive seminars, discussions, workshops, and trainings on various topics—from internet addiction, healthy eating, and human rights to emotional intelligence, social entrepreneurship, and teamwork.
The activities take place in different locations—schools, public spaces, parks, youth eco-camps—and include partnerships with various organizations. They bring together young people of different ages, regions, and cultures, actively engaging them in the learning process through hands-on experience, discussions, and joint projects.
Non-formal education is the main tool youth workers use to motivate and prepare young people to participate actively in society, make decisions, and implement ideas in social, cultural, and civic life.
“Trainings and development of young people in and outside the country” and the non-formal training on teamwork are part of the activities under Project BGLD – 1.003 – 0004 “Youth Center Vratsa – a factor for the development of the Northwest”, funded through the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014–2021.
