We are happy to share with you information about the team “Alumni 2021 – Together for road safety” and their idea “Together for road safety”.
The team of young people from the town of Roman is one of the active participants in our project BGLD – 1.003-0004 “Youth Center Vratsa – a factor for the development of the Northwest, funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. who took part in the competition for youth initiatives “Creating Together”.
Their idea is to create a playground and training for traffic safety for kids in the yard of Secondary school “Vasil Levski”. And for this purpose, they will have a small place of school parking, streets, and bike lanes filled with vertical signage (road signs and traffic lights) and horizontal markings. They got help from the management of the school and the help of the company “Daily Consult BG EOOD Varna”, Mr. Tihomir Todorov, and Mrs. Gena Kadiyska, who joined the initiative by donating additional
resources.
The real part of their youth initiative will be held in September in the week for road safety. During these few days, the young people will have a campaign and talks about road safety. Their goal is more kids from the school to know well the rules of road safety, the technical means for organizing, and traffic regulation. And at the end, there will be a road safety competition and a bicycle competition. Their purpose is to put into practice what was learned from the students and to show their skills.
