On 9 and 10 of April, a preventive campaign against gambling addiction “Bet on Yourself” will be held in the building of the Youth Center – Vratsa. During the event, the young people will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Desislava Bezinska-Sheinkova and Mr. Plamen Yotinski.

Dr. Desislava Bezinska-Sheinkova has a bachelor’s degree in “Psychology” and a master’s degree in “Management Psychology”. She is a doctor in “Labor Psychology and Professional Psychodiagnostics” at South-West University “Neofit Rilski” in the city of Blagoevgrad, a member of the Society of Psychologists in Bulgaria and its coordinator for Southwestern Bulgaria, certified by the University of North Carolina
in the speciality of positive psychology, trained and certified in the field of “Positive Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy”, a member of the Bulgarian Association of Hypnosis, as well as a member of the Society for Positive Psychotherapy, a member of the European Association of Applied Psychology. In 2022, Dr. Sheinkova opened a Center for Work with Gambling Addiction “Psychonika” in the city of Sofia, where consultations and individual therapies take place, and in the same year she published the book “Staked Life”, in which she describes the path and the salvation of a person suffering from such a vice.

Mr. Plamen Yotinski is a former addict. From the age of 15, he was addicted to alcohol, cocaine and gambling. Addictions settled into his life for 20 years. He grew up in the city of Sofia in the family of a math teacher and a journalist. In the last almost four years, Mr. Plamen Yotinski stopped using alcohol, cocaine and gambling, entering a Public Addiction Treatment Center. To date, he himself founded his own “I A.M. WAY”, which provides high-threshold therapy, rehabilitation and residential care for people who abuse or are addicted to psychoactive substances, as well as to gambling and the Internet.His commitment to addiction prevention is visible on social video-sharing platforms where he has a large following, and he also participates in similar campaigns organized by schools and community centers in Bulgaria.

There will be two talks on 9 and 10 of April from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 01:00 p.m. to 03:00 p.m. During the event you will learn useful information about dealing with this type of addiction, what are the methods for successful rehabilitation and many other things.
